I’m living a weirdly pop culture moment right now.
I finally broke down and paid for my Internet, something that I am loathe to do even in pay-as-you-go Europe (which is mostly a better way to live except when I can’t get Internet access). I’m now sitting in Starbucks after a day of pop culture shopping in Soho (where I bought a wicked The Great Escape Steve McQueen still).
Now Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” is playing. Before you click on the link, know there is a book and movie reference that will require a bit of work on your part. If you’re game.

For those who have read Nick Hornby’s book High Fidelity and seen John Cusak’s adaptation of the film, this will make sense. It’s one of my favorite books and one of my all time favorite movies.
