The Geeky Press

Content Design

Indianapolis writers wanted a way to gather, network, and collaborate. I wasn’t sure how to make that happen, and so I asked the community.

I held a series of readings in 2014 and 2015, held a few happy hours, and asked people who came to participate in a small number of design thinking exercises. I took their suggestions — networking events, places to publish, writing retreats, and happy hours — and built The Geeky Press website and community around their ideas.

The site has evolved since then as we’ve added more features: a newsletter, a podcast, and more stand-alone publications (as opposed to just our literary magazine).
